The Board was infe~ed that a representative of the Veteran' Housi~ Board would be on the Island Sept. 10th and the Sect. was requested to notify Mr. Earl Ray. ,A lease for Draft Board Rooms was received from Public Buildings Administration and signed by the Board. The resignation Of Harold B: Ryder from the Draft Board was received. As his appointment originated from the state he was requested to send in his resignation to.them. The ~ollowing licenses for garages were granted: Ralph I.'Bartlett,'one car,'4 South Mill' Street. El~te G. Cady, one-car, 23 Vestal Street. Christian ~enry Hecker, Jr, one car steel, windy, Hill Prospect Street. ', Horace Folger'Jerregan, garage with living quarte~s above, Burnell Street, Siasconset. The resignation~°f Frederick D.'Higgins, Jr. Life Guard at Childrens Baach to take effect Sept. 8th was received. ~ .
