the p~ope~ty oEers effected, and esse~tain t~ei~ feeling abont
the c~nge. The Board felt t~t .they ~ere entitled to some
d~ages based on the assessed val~e of the land taken o~ some
other -Just basis.
' Mrs. Guibord info.ed the Board that she has been billed
for resetting the curb in co.action with the b~ick sidewalk laid
in front of her home on Liberty Street. The matte~ was referred
to Mr. Tice'. .
The Board was infe~ed that a representative of the Veteran'
Housi~ Board would be on the Island Sept. 10th and the Sect. was
requested to notify Mr. Earl Ray.
,A lease for Draft Board Rooms was received from Public
Buildings Administration and signed by the Board.
The resignation Of Harold B: Ryder from the Draft Board was
received. As his appointment originated from the state he was
requested to send in his resignation to.them.

The resignation~°f Frederick D.'Higgins, Jr. Life Guard at
Childrens Baach to take effect Sept. 8th was received.

passed in 1945 affecting Veterans was related to Mr. Lebaron Ray
