Meetin~ called to ardor at 8:50 with all members presentJ
.Planned Playtime was granted a per'At to have Public movies~
on the mornings of Aug. 7, lA, 21, 28 at Pierce Bchool. A pexmit
was also granted for them to display art work on the fence on
~Federal~St. and to set up a table at Main and Federal ~ts.' Aug. 16
and 17.
Mr.~ Gordon Folger was present to request ~the Town to cut the
grass on ~he sidewalk on the North side of ~[~k~ Easton St.
stating that it was now impassable and used as a dump for beer cans
Mr. and Mrs Beers reported on the ~ubbish cans, stati~ that
they Were being used, needed emptying and should have trash painted
on them..
Mr. 0rpin'was present and explained to the Board the cost
of running a hydrant to the Cyrus Barnes property, The cost would
be 2500, the revenue ~B4 and taxes ~84 with a'net loss to the Co.
of ~10 a year.~ AS~SO much of the line would be along the cemetery
it could never develops into a profitable operation fro the Co.
It was decided not to go further with the matter.
0nMr. Gliddens motion it was voted to establish a No Park-
ing area at Jetties Beach Just South of the Bus Stand so that cars
going down there would have a space to turn round.

Marion H. Chadwick was granted a permit to operate a
Hairdressing shop at ~8 India ~treet.
A letter was received from~the Dept. of Public Works
stating that a'hearing would be held at Banford House Aug. ~8 at
11;~0 AM for the discussion of public roads
The Jenny Lind ~hop was granted a permit to erect a sign
in front of their shop on Federal'St.~
It was voted to refer to Mr. Tics a letter from--Dept of Pub
lic Works approving Contract 10876 allowing the TownS2000 for
maintanance of Chapte~ 90 Roads.
- ' The Department of conservation advised the Board that it
Would reimburse the Town,A00 against the Bhellfish account~
~A report was ~ecei~ed from Mr. Wendell H. Howes in re. to
complaint of Mrs. Biddle. The circumstances more that Justified
the action taken by him.
The'~iasconset Casino'Assoc. , due to improper filling in
of Dept of public Safety for~s, was not receiving approval f~r
Sunday movies in time. ~xx~
