The following Ballot Clerks were sworn in: Edward P. Tice, John J. Driscoll Jr.~, Charles H. Blount, and Charles W. Rogers. The Ballots in three . packages said to contain 1800 Republican and 526 Democratic Ballots' were delivered to the Ballot Clerks and their receipt taken therefore. Wesley A. Fordyce was sworn in as Warden. '" ' - -" The ballot box was then op~ned f~r public inspection.'It was'examined by Edward P. Tice, Franklin Si Chadwick, John J. DriscoL1 Jr.~ · Lawrence F.' Mooney and found to be empty. The register on the box was set at 0000, the box locked and the keys thereof turned over to Constable Franklin S. Chadwick. .-' The Warrant was presented by Constable' Lawrence F. Mooney. U~on motio~ duly seconded, it was VOTED that the Clerk dispense with the rea4ing of the warrant. At 9:00A.M. the polls were declared open; .... At 5:30 P.M. the Polls were declared closed. The following Tellers were sworn in:- Eugene Souza, Robert C. Murray, Daniel L.~Harrington, Charles C. The ballots were removed, sorted and ~counted and found to be :-Republican 78, Democratic 19, a total' of 97:~ ~ The Ballot Clerks attthe Gate and at the Ballot Box checked their lists and found the following had voted. .
