$10668.42. Same~was aPProved by th~ B6~rd and voted to,be paid.
Messrs."JaeCkle, Manter~and Battier't, representing the
· Nantucket Sportsmen'.$~Clu~were present to request that Mr.Swe~ne
be~etained here perananently as Game Warden and that a letter be
written to the Commissioner of Fisheries and Game making this
request. It was'voted by the Board that such a letter'be'written
~nd stipulating that a Game Warden is needed here, not only
thrOUgh the hunting season but for ~he whole year.
Nfs. Jean A. Cook, Manager of the Nantucket Airport was
present to confer With.~the Board relative to matters'pertaining ~
to the field. It was voted that relative to'the A~rp0rt, the
cost ~of lighting the field'be $2.50 for ~anding and cost of
~ taking off be $'2.50 and $3.00 per hour for practive'landing. The
~" Airp0rb Manager to be notified accordingly. ~
~' .... ' ' The Finance Committee met with the Board for the pUrpose of
considering transfers and receiving data from the various dePart-
ment heads.
Chief Blair was present to request the sum of $~00.00 to
carry his,department through the balance ~of the year.
~- It was voted to appoint the following as memberslof the
Airport committee;'in addition to ~he members of the Board; ~
George W. ~Jones, W. Marland Rounsville, Howard U. Chase and George
,M.~Lake. .~
It was Voted that the next 'meeting of'the ~ir~ort committee
be held i~ ~he Selectmen's room on.Monday, November 18, 1946 at
8:00 P. M. and~that all be notified. ,., ..
Supt. Tice was prespnt to confer with'the Board and the
Finance Committee ~s to the amount necessary for his department
to carry t~rough for the balance of the year and requested the
sum of $250o.0o.

temporary employees now and would like to have an established
