A ~p'ecial'meeting Of the Board'WaS held mon'Novem~er
let, 1946. Members prese'nt were S0verino, "Glidden and
Smith. Airport Committee members present Jones and coleman;
also Manager Jean A. Cook and Town Counsel Sanguinetti'.'
Various phases of the Airport situation were discussed
and Town Counsel reviewed the terms of the Northeast Airline
lease ~vith~ the Board and it was voted that there should be
a change in the terms of the lease whereby it would be '
amended to read:
"There shall be a straight rental for the 'sum
of $500. per year of the buildings and $2500. rental
for field, making a total of $3000."
It was voted that Donal5 Allen be granted a three
year lease~for option of furthe~ renewal for two years
more' at 40% 'of hangar and tie-doWn rental~
It was VOted that the Airport Committee consist of ~
'~e members which include the Board of Selectmen,
.George W. Jones,.Henry B..Col°man, JOshua B. AshleY, 3rd,'
and another memb'er to be appointed. The names Of Howard
'Chase, Narland B. Rounsville, George Lake and Ler0y H.~True
were nominated as the ninth mo~nber, Selection to be made
from the list and to be voted on at Our next meeting.
It was· · voted to'appoint Ballot Clerks and Tellers'for
the coming'election,. November 5th, 1946."
