The Meeting was called to order by the ChaiEnan With all
Members present.
The Town Accountant presented Warrant #38 ~amounting to
$6664.61, the same was voted to be paid as read.
Rent was received from the Selective Service Office of
$80.00.
Mr. Tice introduced Mr. Edward Bailey for Representative
of the Public Works Department.
Relative to the expenditure of Chapter 90 money on the
Polpis Road, in view of the fact that labor is so scarce, and
Mr. Ring is not prepared to go ahead with the work, it was
voted to send a letter to Er. John Troy of the Public Works
Department requesting work on Polpis Road to be laid over
until spring, and appropriation held over.
Mrs. Alice May McRae met With the Board relative to the
~o-parking sign on Ocean Avenue Sconset and the no-parking
sign on Union Street requesting that they both be shortened.
The matter was tabled for a week.
Directly following the Selectmens' Eeeting the Board
recessed to meet again at the house of Lawrence Mooney, Chief
of.Police, to interview him and discuss with him what pro-
cedure on v~at should be done about his recent behzvior un-
becoming an officer. The Board finally agreed to let him go
back on condition that he write a letter of agreement of his
errors and promise of good behavior, the same to be filed in
the Selectmens' files and marked the property of Lawrence
MooneY, to be mailed to him at such time as he resigns or
leaves the force.
