'The Meeting was called to order With all Members present.
The Town Accountant presented Warrant #36 amounting to
$6432.64. The same was voted to be paid as read.
Miss Huyser~s suggestion that the Information Bureau keep
open was discussed and it was Voted that the Comfort Stations
'and the Information BureAu close as of September 18 if the
funds are available to carry on to that time.
The Report of the Police Department was received for
August.
Report of the WPA was received for August.
An invitation was received inviting the Board of Selectmen
to attend the Meeting of the Trustees of the Barnstable County
Sanitarium September 26/42 at 11 AM.
Mac~s Pharmacy, Inc. received a Common Victualler's and
Ice Cream License.

A communication was received from Dr. Joseph Cochran
relative to scrap metal. It was voted to appoint Dr. Cochran
as Chairman of the Committee, and make a survey of the scrap
metal available on the Island, he to have the power to
appoint his own Committee, and~to advise the Board of Selectmen
as to the personnel of said Committee and their findings.
It was voted to instruct Mr. Puttrick to take in the
children's beach equipment, and have Mr. Coffin take in the
Sconset equipment.
