The I~'~eeting was called to order July 9, by the Chairman
with all I;!embers present.
The Term Accountant was present with Warrant
~ounting to .~o,876.~G, the s~e was v'oted to be paid as read.
A complaint was ~eceived from "~ ' ~
¥~_ll~ 0. Stevens relative
to'the manner with which trees were sprayed. It was voted to
take the ssm.,~e unier advisemen-~.
Approval was received from the ABC for the Beach House
Innholder~s All Alcoholic Beverage License.
Ki!!en Bros. made application for Dorothy Ceeley to be
appointed, as a public weigher.
Robert Grimes met ~.~h the Board relative to the less
of bis cows and thanked the Board for their efforts.
Er. Charles Blount, Coordinator for WPA presented his
monthly report., and also the result of his canvassing for adv.
for the Sele~tmen's magazine.
Kenneth Hm~m~ond met with the Board relative to his sewer.
i~iss Henry and ~,~r. Charles Glidden Sealer of weights and
measures n~'et with the Board relative to Transient Vendors. The
Board fixed the fee to ~5.00, snd requested !,~iss Henry to
obtain a f~.nmmng from the District ATTorney as to ~,ma~ categories
were covered by the term Transient Vendors.
c 'Four ~.~embers of the School Committee, ~;~r. Selden,
_~:irs. Chapel, _~rs. Jackle, and ~!r. Day met with the Board for the
~ur~.~os~I of ~appointing a 5th i~[ember to fill the vacancy caused by
the resignation made by Chas. P. Kimball. The following names
were voted on.

The Board received notice ~that 80 bushel of~:shellfish seed

The Board voted to send a co~m~ttuication to the presenb
Dog Officer that they find it necessary to appoint auother
Dog Officer that his services would not be required.
~,,r. Eugene Francis Burgess was appointed.
~Ir~. Eldred Gardner for S~ecial Police to serve without
pay.
The Department of Public Works informed the Board of a
hearing to be held Weduesday ~uly 29 at 8 P.~¥~.
