The same was voted to be paid as 'read. A. report was received from the WPA CoordinatOr flor the month of 1,1ay. Also from the Chief of Police and the Highway Department. ~r. Clement ReynOlds made application for an All Alcoholic Co~m~on ¥ictualler~s License for the Sconset Inn. A permit was granted to the Siasconset Casino to show moving pictures during July, August and September. The cost of sending the inquiries by the Information Burea~ wa~ discussed , and it was voted to leave things as they were z~mless they run short of money, and then they could take it up. Walter C. Hatch was granted a license to sell soft drinks, · and to erect a sign in front of his place of business. Approval was received from thc ABC for the Club All Alco- holic Licemse for Sankaty Head. A communication was received from ~-,~r. Tice explaining that due to erosion it would be necessary for the Tovm to take steps to build a new road and bridge over Heather Creek. He asked that the Board make an early study of the situation. Edward Backus was granted permission to keep .~!Es on his property on Cherry Street. ~n_sign Glidden made application to use the road scraper on the Ball Field. It was voted to send a letter to Er. Tice authorizing the use of the scraper. ~J. ol~-y Williar~s was granted an Intelligence License. Allen's Lobster Grill was granted a Common Victualler's License. a ~.~erlin Crocker was ..made/S~ecial Police Officer, and the matter of wages was tabled for further study.
