The Meeting was called to order by the Chairman with all
Nembers present.
The Tovm Accountant was present with Warrant #18 amount-
lng to $6,9V6.00. The same was voted t'o be paid as read.
A communication was received from Nerlin Crocker asking
for the same salary as received by Mrs. Cahoon, also that he
be appointed as Special Police. Voted Comfort Station tabled
one week.
A report was received from the W.P.A. Coordinator.fOr
the month of April.
An invitation was received to attend 'the Hospital Day
between the hours of 3 & 5 Nay 12. Voted to send a letter of
appreciation.
Mr. Glidden reported that ~r. Winslow was taking care of
the three mile limit buoys.
A letter was received from the Nantucket Gas & Electric
Company stating that they would make suitable adjustment on
the rate to the Tovm for Electricity due to the dim-out as
soon as the lighting had been stabilized.
Approval was received from the ABC for the Wauwinet House
License.
A communication was received from Director Hall of Public
Works Department stating that an endeavor to visit the Island~
would be made as Soon as pon~hient to look at Sacetcha Pond
opening.
· Permission was granted to Mrs. Burchell 'at our Island Home
to purchase 12 bedspreads and a few dishes.
An apPlication was received from Anue Chamberlain ~for
an All Alcoholic Beverage License and an Inu Holder's License.
voted to take regular course as prescribed by law.
A'communication was received from Ralph H. 0sb0rn, Dept.
of Eonservation stating that he' would set aside an area of
Nantucket Harbor for lobster proPagation.

The monthly report for the Fire Dept. for APril~was re-
e'eived.
Tovm counsel Sanguinetti sent a copy of g'he letter that
was mailed to Mrs. Nargaret Lamb relative to Terry's Garage.
The Police Dept.'s report was received fo~ the month of
Mr. Charles~Blount, W. P. A. Coordinator met with the
Board relative to the p~t~hing of Pleasant Street. It was
voted to contact Mr. Ring and have him send in an estSmate
~a~ to the~mount it would cost.
Mr. Deacon, sewer Commissioner met with the Board and
requested that a transfer of ~8.00 be made for repairing leaks
and the damage done by leaks at the new sewer pumping station.
Mr. Fred Allen was granted permission to move his sign
from its present ~ocation onto the Nobby Shop Building.
It was voted to send a letter to Mr. Aaron Davi~' express-
to advance the war time one more hour;
