application was received from Antone John Souza for renewal App!.
Of his pool ro°n~ license, .the same was granted.
An 'application was received for a bottle, package goods Appl.
beer and wine license for Walter Hatch, Lower Orange Street.
Voted that it take the regular course as prescribed by' law.
An application was received for their renewal of the Appl.
Fun6ra! Director's License for Edward B. Lewis and Richard E.
Lev;is at 45 Union Street. The same was granted.
A communication was received from Ralph H. Osborn Comm.
stating that he would study the Shellfish problem in Nan-
,tucker, and would consult with l'~r. Barnes, the Biologist.
Applications to carry were received from E. F. Scully, Appl.
D. L. Harrington and ~,~. F. Souza.
A report was received from the Fire Chief for the Reoort
month of ~,~arch.
The Director of the Division of ~;~arine Fisheries in- Fish
Warden
formed the Board that he had appointed ~,.'ir. Charles Grant
as Fish Warden April !1, !94°~ - ~ar. $!, 1943.
A report was received from the Soldier's Relief Sec'y. Report
for the month of ~','~arch.
A c°~unication was received from ~,~r. Robert A. Goffin
stating that no flounder fry ~wou!d be available this year,
but enclosed an appl~_cat.,_on for.next year.

sider the matter of 'connecting his house with the sewer. O?:.
Voted to ask the Sewer Co~;m~issioners to ~.ake a study of the
s~_~uatmon and report at the next meeting, also to request
~,~r. Tice to make an appointment with the Board to visit the
premises to restrain the surface water,
A conm~unt~cation was received fromBheriff L. If,. Crocker stat-
~ng that C-e~ge~A. Lewis Would not be eligible for parole until
July 1942, and not then until he had paid the 850.00 fine.
Mrs. Agnes l~arks was granted permission to .keep hens 'on her
premises on 3 York Dane.
Approval was received for appointment of C. C. Turner as
!ns~ector of Animals.
~irs. Bessie C. 'runs±ow complained about a traffic sign in
front of her premises at 39 Liberty Street requesting that the
same be removed. The matter was referred to I',~r. Tice.
A report was received from ~lf.r. Charles Blount~, W. P. A. Coord.
The Board voted to raco~uend to ['Ir. B!ount that the North Water
Street Sewer project not be started at this time.
Mr. John A. Stackpo!e v,,a~ ~..ranued permission to keep hens on
his oremises on Lower Orange Street.
It was voted to write'a letter to the Commander of the First
!'Iaval District, Custom House relative to' the whistle being out of
order on the end of the Jetty.~'
The Public Health ~rse~s Report was received and permission
was granted to her to start her v~cati0n beginning April 18.
A monthly report was received from Chief of Police.
The Chairman of the Board reported the purchase and distribu-
tion Of lOO bushel of oyster seed - 50 in Polpis Harbor, 4~ in
~[adaquet Harbor, and 3 to be in Sachecha Pond.
it was voted to request the Shellfish Inspector to See if he
could purchase some quahaug seed and ~lace same in Sachecha Pond.
The Board took under consideration the erecting of a square
for Harry C. Gorman who lost his life in service to his CoQ~ntry.
