'The ballot box and emergency ballot box locked'and the
keys thereof turned over to Franklin S. Chadwick, Constable
in charge.
.Constable Mooney presented the Warrant for the state
Primary. The Warrant was read by the Town Clerk and at
,9:00 A.M. the Polls were declared open.
' VOting started at once.
At 2:00 P.M. the register on the ballot box standing at
... 408 the box was opened by Charles C; Chadwick, Constable
'in'charge and the ballots removed to the'emergency b~llot
.box,.ifi the presence-of Edward P.' Tice and'Charl&s~Clark
Coffin.' The ballot box was again locked and voting
resumed.- '
"At 4:55 P.M. the Town~cl~rk'ann0un'csd.that'the'poils
..woUld close'in'five ~inutes. At 5:00 P.M.-the'polls
were declared'closed.' People'inside' the ~Ail were
allowed to Complete and cast'their'ballots. 'The register
on the ballot'box was then found to read 633.

The ballots in three sealed packages said to contain

were given t° the balldt clerks at the gate and there
receipt taken therefor.
The,ballot box was then opened for public inspection.

Edward P. Tice, and found to,be empty. The Emergency~
ballot box was also examined by the above, and found to
be empty. The register on the ballot b~x was set at 0000
833 Total vote.
The tellers then started counting at 6:30 P.M~
