Warrant No. 48, totalling $20,901.87 was presented by Town Acct. Barrett and checked 'and approved by the Board. Minutes of the 'previous meeting were read and'appro{,4d. A lette~ was received from Cmdr.. Henry Steph~nson thanking the Board for the use of the rooms in the Sanford House in behalf of the Boy Scouts.' A let'ter was received from Albert L. Silva requesting a la~ger street light opposite from his garage property on N. Beach St. and voted .to t~k~zl~z~o~z~.xpxe~zxi~z~xt~ approve same and so advise the Gas & Blec. Co. A letter Was received from the Board of Assessors advising tha't the.re was not sufficient money appropriated under Art. 99 to print a copy of their valuations, the Board discussed this matter at some length and it was voted to.look into the matte~ to determine just what amount would be needed and' to preserve the present appropriation.' The Board received a report on'the hearing at Sconset on the application of the Siasconset Water Co. for a permit to store gasoline in an underground tank of 300 gal. capacity and Secy. Glidden reporting that he and Fire Chief Bartlett had-attended 'the hearing and no objections ere received same was voted ~, approved. On request of Chief-Howes, Hugh G. MacVicar was. appointed a Sp. - Police Officer. -~ A copy of a letter from Prancis Dunn to his superior relative to the condition of the Town and County office Bldg. was received and placed on~f~le for further information. There' being no further business ,the Board went' into executive session and adj. at 10.15 PM. Executive Session@ . The application of Mr. Cbs Ryder for Mrs ^nnie Ryder to enter ~.the Island Home as a paying'patient was approved subject to Mrs Sloseks determind that we could properly care for her, wit~ the understanding t~t he was to pay all'Dr., medical and hosp.~ - bills and that if we needed the space orr welfare patients ~'~ that other arrangements would have to be made, Rate $7.00 per ~ay. Voted ~o have Mrs Slosek present month{y report of the patient at the Home. ' /~- " ' ~~_Secy.
