The meeting came to order at 815 PM h'avin~,been preceeded b~ a
County Commissioners meeting;~ all me~bers of the Board
~being present. ,'~
Warrant' No~44 ~otallihg .$15,567.94 was presented-by Town ^cct.
,Barrett and checked and approved by,the Board.~
ginutes of'the ~previous ~eeting were read,and' approved;
.Mr. Frank L. Hardy,in ~behalf of the Legion P~St was. granted a
permit to parade under arms on 11 ~o~. 59~'
Mr. Blwyn Francis,,Shellfi~h Wardeh was present and left some
information with the Board realtive to a state study
of quahogs in commercial quanties in'the bay area;~stated'
that~a Mr. Blount from R.I. was interested ~n obtaining
~ a permit to operate in our waters on a commercial scale
~ and that, he had been advised to communicate with the Board
It was v~ted to write'our-senators and congr~ssman'requesting
that they file a bill to include ferrie~, slips,etc.
in the Federal aid highway bill.
Voted to have a Street ligh~ installed on New Lane near the ~ill
~ ~. Pond.
voted' to advertis~ that ~he town dump wo~ld be closed on Mon,
rues, wed. and thurs at 4 PM for extermination purposes.
There being no further business the~ Board went into executive
session ~d adjourned at 9.15 P~.

Voted that-Island home bills for mitk, laundry etc. be submitted
