Barrett and checked and approved 'by the Board.

Minutes of the previous meeting weFe read and approved.
Mr. Clifford Ryder, Mr. Hoseph viera and Mr. char-les StYle and
j. Clinton Andrews were present and gave the Board their
views and suggestions with reference to the commercial
scallop' recommendations as made to the Board by the Pisher-
mens Asso. Later in the meeting the Board voted to have
the regulations and fee in force as last year, namely four
bags per license eight bags to a boat, feet $5.00. and
no closed areas. ~
Mr. Elwyn Francis Shellfish Warden suggested that the' Board
establish a limit on the size of Oysters that could be
taken suggested that 3½" should be the legal size and
that some signs should be printed and posted in various
locations'to this effect. On motion made and seconded it
was so voted. "
The matter of the application of Island Sightseeing Tours Inc.
for a permit to store gasoline in an underground tank
of 1000 gal capacity at its premises on Polips road was
before the Board, a hearing having been held at 10
at the proposed location. It appearing that most of the
objections were to commercial sale of gasoline it was
voted that the license be approved, for private use~only.
The Board was in receipt of a notice from the Land COurt 'r~l~t
to the petiton to R. Foulkrod~to register his title to
land formerly the_ old Starbuck farm and same was referred
to the town counsel as regards any town roads 'that might
be effected by this petition..
It was reported that the condition of Squam road had been'com-
lained of, Secy. Glidden stated that he had talked with
Mr. Ripley Nelson who liv~es in the area and had been told
that the road.,seemed to be in good shape. ~,
The Board discussed the matter of'pollution in,the harbor and
, had before it cost estimates from the Sewer commission
· as 'to the dmounts ,necessary ~by the various land own,ers
mentioned in the DPH letter to connect to the town sewer
system, also discussed was the matter of the yachts in
the harbor. No action was taken on this matter at this
time. ,
It was voted that the Taxi stand on Federal street be maintained
year round, with the condition that same be used by. taxis
'only when they are-there for business and not for private
purposes.
Voted to set up for' next week a schedule of meetings with dept.
heads on budgets and to request the press to carry a
notice that the dept. heads should start working on their
budgets.
There beihg no further business' th~ Boad went into executive
session and adj, at-9.45 PM.

Talked with Rodent inspector ~amb as ,to conditions at
Wauwinet which he stated he would check.
Suggested we write Rep. Mooney asking him to have a bill
drawn up to allow Suthority to operate int~ Hy~nnis if it So
