The ~eeting came to,order at 8PM~all memberi of the Board being

Warran~ No. 28, to~alling $29i~154,77 was presenfed by Town Acct
Barre~ and checked and'~?~pproved by the Board.
Minutes 0f th~ previous meeting were read and approved. ~
~The lifeguards at the Jetiies Beach, The Childrens Beach and
the Siasconse~ Beach were present ~o meet the Board members
Mr. John Traynor was granted ~ permit to run a dance at ~he
Grange Hall on Monday 20 July from 9.30 to 1 AM.
~Mr. John Golden was present and went over with the Board the
figures for the month of June. Also commen~ed on a discussi
~he~had had with Mr- Indio of the Town Crier and Mr. Indo
.gave his' account,of the incident. The Board instructed
Golden that figures on placements and~inqulries should be
tabulated daily and wi~h a running ~o~al so that this
formation would be readily available to all who might seek
it. ~ -'~
Mr. 6olaen also presented a {etter from Martin Cerel, Re~l~tok
advising tbgt one of their model homes in Franklin M~ss,
'w~s being designated wit~ the name Nantucket and furnished
in approprig'te style and inviting a representat{ve
the town to the opening t~e latter p~rt of t~e month. This
matter was left with Mr. Golden to follow through.
him. Golden stated that the Eastern S~tes Exposition in' Spring-
field on Sept. 19 - 27th would have a lagge N~ntucket Booth
and that he was wozling on this item.
The~ Board aRscussed with the Dog Offi~4r Mr. Day mafters
to his duties and Mr. Day, advised us of ~ particular bgd
problem_ he had bad wit~ one dog. It was voted to reaffirm
once, ~gain th~t, all dog must be restrained from running
at large until 15 Sept. and to advertise and,post s~me.
The Board ~pproved pole locgtons of Pleasant s~reet notices
'-having been sent the abutters and-'no objections h,~ving
-' been noted.
The Oceans House was' granted a renewal of their piano ente
permit of weekdays.
Mrs Louise Craig in behalf of the Civic geague, Grrdent tours
'' was gr~nted a permi,t to sell,tickets on main st. ,
The Roberts House was granted a~ renewal ~f their-Innhilders Lic.
Mr. Lewis in behalf of the Main St. Fete Committee was granted.
a permit'to sell tickets and display a Volkswagen sedan
: 6n Main st. and oteher plaqes.!5 July ~0 11 Agu.
Mr. Cbs. Stackp01e was granted a permit' to run sq6~e dahceJ~
at Bennett Hall on Tues during July and Aug and Setp. from
8.30 to 1!.30 PM.
Mr. Blwyn Francis Sr. was appointed Dep. Shellfish Warden drulng
~he illness of W~rden Souza.
The Board then went into executive session and adj. at 10. 30
