Warrant No. 22,'..totalling $24,114.51 was~presented by Town A~ct. Barrett and~checked and approved with One exception,~bill of Mr. Eldridge for work at Sconset Comfort Sta. same not having been inspected by the Board. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Mr. Ralph Myers was present and presented a letter requesting a license to operate a Coffee Shop at 21 Center St. and same was voted approved. Bids were received for the printing of Informafion Bureau fol- ders as follows: Inq. & Mirror 774.00 Town Crier 1198.50 25,000 copies. same was voted awarded the lowest bidder the Inq. & Mirror The matter of ail parties~not having,obtained their Lodg- house licenses was discussed and it was the sense of the meeting that th~ booklet be printed with the same names as last year with a suggestion to go to the Public Relatlo Committee that they get out a form letter early in the asking parties to check their names and addresses and to obtain their licenses by a fixed date. The Board discussed the matter of the appointment of Harobor Master and Yacht Garbage Collector with both of the app- licants Mr. Peter Gomes and Mr. Lionell Starr and later in the meeting after discussion voted to determine from each of the applicants if they could give this job their full time from 1 J~ly to 15 Sept. The Board discussed with Supt. of streets Jaeckle the matter of~ the sidewalk from Beach St. to Easy and requested that he determine if the authority would pay half of the cost of asphalt even though we would only be completing about half of the sidewalk with brick, Mr. Joseph Cabral was present and discussed the matter of his application for an alcoholic beverage license ,with the Board, and the matter .was left with ,the thought that he should try and locate a suitable location for this season and then re-apply. ,, Ap~l~catio'n from Harold Gaillard for Piano entertainment on Sun, days at the Opera House was received and approved., A letter was received from Rep.~Moon~y advising that the Dept. of conservaton would make a visit to the isldn on Tues and would be at the Sea Cliff that evening to discuss any problems that interested citizens might have. It was 'sugg- ested that we arrange suitable transportation and same was left to Ch. Pease to take care of. Request of Citer Baitlett for approCei fo~ ~imself and Mr.~Norman Barrett to,attend Conn. State Fire College course was voted approved. Mr. Steven Herlitz wrote protesting the lack of available ret- urn reservations from Nantucket and enclosing letters he had sent and received from N.R. airlines. The Secy. advised that he had acknowledged Mr. Herlitzs letter, 'It ~as sugges :ed that we~might contact Mr. Fred Knight of N.E. to determine just how many seats we have available here and what they _say'as ~to availability. A ltter was r~ceived from the Mass Press'Asso' thanking the Board for the courtesies extended them while on the Islsnd. The Board 'then went into executive session and adj. at 11.30 PM. Salary, Committee:.~ The Boa~ 'a~pointed ,the following to the salary committee as: suggested by the Finance Committee in their annual report: Mr. John L, Hardy, Raymond Foulkrod and Arthur Robertson. At a special meeting held on 4 June 1959 at 5'~M' it being that [ir. Peter Gomes was the only one applying'for,the Harbor MasSer and Ychet Garbage job who could give. it his ,full time from'l July to 15 Sept. ~he was on motion made and seconded appointed to this job ....
