The 'meeting came to order at ?.30 PM ail members of the Board
being present.
Warrant No. 13,,totalling $12,482.36 was presented by To~n Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
btinutes of the preyious meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Jesse Eldridge was present arid conferred with the Board re-
lative to painting the Sconset Gorafor.~ Station and stated
that~ he felt full length screens should be provided. No
action was taken on this matter at this time.
Mr. Roland M. Coffin and Mgles M.'Reis were pres~ent and dis-
cussed with the Board the matter of' the appointment of an
official garbage collector, after discussing this matter
pro and con it was voted that Mr. Coffin be appointed
as of fica1 collector in Siasconset and Mr. Reis in Nantuck(
Bis were received relative to the printing of the warrants for
the special town meeting as follows:
Nant. Town Crier ---14.00 Inq. & Mirror--r-15.00
On motion made and seconded it was voted that the job be
awarded the lowest bidder the town crier.
Bids %vere received and opened relative to printing for the Pub-
lic relations committee according to specifications sub-
mitred by said committee as follows:
Leaflets as specified: .Tow~ Crier '318'75 Mirror 466.0(
Brochures as specified: Town Crier 2249.50 ' Mirror 3850.0¢
On motion made and seconded it was voted that same be aw-.
arded the lowest bidder the Town Crier.
A letter was recexved from the Chamber of Commerce and the Pub-
lic relations committee requesting that the area from
the corner of Broad to the fire station llne bn S. Water
street be disignated as a ten minute parking area from
1 June to I Oct. and after some discussion same was voted
approved. ~
Applications for taxi permits~ were received from Lester Simmons
and Francis .~saradellis and voted approved.
Applications-were received from Whi~e Blephant Hotel and Willie
House for renewal of their all'alcoholic beverage licenses
and voted to take the course prescribed by law.
A pole location on W. York street near W. York lane was approved~
on request of the Tel and Tel and Gas and Elec. no hearing
being ne~cessar~.
Mr. Chris. Shel~ requested the renewal of the'common vict lic.'
issued to Barbara ¥. Schell dba The Boat House, Commercial
Wharf, and same was voted approved.
A letter was received from theDiv, of Marine Fisheries approving
- our request to extend the commercial scallop season .to
April 12th. ~
A list of employees using the public scale~ at Island ~S~vice.
Co. was submitted by the Co. approved and forwaxded to the
town clerk.
P61~ locations for the Gas and ~.lec. and,Tel Co. on N0badeer Rd.
and Massassoit road were before the Board abutters having
been notified, and no one objectln~ were voted approved.
It was voted to meet at the Town Clerks office of Thurs the 2nd
at 4PM for the purpoee of sellecting grand and traverse

effective. 15 April 1959 was received and voted accepted.
~ The matter _of the Home was 'discussed and it was voted_,to
advertise, for applications for a Cook and Maintenance Man
and a Gen'Supervisor,'( reg Nurse) same to be in by next
week. '
Mr. De'nnis Dias Was granted a renewal of his Soft drink license
at Surfside Road. -~ ' '
It was voted to write' M~. Albert $ilva'-a letter of thanks 'for
his long service on the Finance Committee.
Specifications of various items'of 'work fo~"the Fire stations
were received and tabled atthis time.
Mr. 'Elwyn Francis Sr. was nominated for the position of Marine
Fish Warden. -
