The meeting came to order at 7.30 PM all members Of the Board being present. -.
Warrant No. 12, totallin~ $23,977.52 was Presented by Town Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of the previous,meeting werer read and approved.
The Board was in receipt of a letter from Matthew Jaeckle thanki~
it for his appointment as Supt. of. streets.
A letter was received from the' Pire'chief, approved by the Chief
of Police asking appt. of the following men to serve as
Sp. Police at fires, Seddon Legg Jr. Prank Hardy, Phillip
Warren, Ruppert Warren, Chester Plucinski, James Killen
and William Reith and Arthur,Egan and voted approved.
Mr. Roger Young was'present and ask&d if the Highway deP%. c'ould
fill the holes in the property owned by the Steamship
Auth. used as a skating rink in the winter; voted approved.
Mr. Young also asked about bicycle signs on one way streets
to read Cyclists Walk, same was referred to the Highway~
dept. 'for information.
Youngs Bicycle shop was als0 granted a renwwal of its Soft
drink license on the application of Mr. Young.
It was voted to advertise for bids on the new poli~e cr~iser'same
to be in the hands of the board by April 8th.-
It was also voted to ask both local papers to.submit bids
at our next meeting for the printing of the warrant for
the Sp. Town meeting,
A letter was received from Prank Sylvla relative to the loitering
. problem at the lower end.of Main street and suggesting vari,,us
corrective measures. The'Board took this matter under con-
sideration.
A notice was received from'the office of the Secy of state tel
-to the incorporators of Yankett Sea School Inc. and the
necessary.form was signed'and voted returned to the Secys~
office.
Applications were received from the-folloWing for renewals.of
their alcoholic beverage licenses and voted to take the
course prescribed by law: Sankaty Beach Club, Inc.. Parker
Gray and Prank Burr.
A letter was receiVe~ ir'om Dr. Wylie Collins thanking the Board
for his reappointment as town physician and suggesting
that consideration be given to a regulations,prohibiting tht
sale of pa w milk.-
Pole location application for 9 poles on Camb. street were
and hearing date set for 8 April 1959. .,
It was voted to ask the Supt. of streets to ~lean brush at the
intersection of Hinckley lane and Cliff Road.
An application was received from the Red Men for a parade fr~m the Boat on 18 April and voted approved.
An aopinion was received from Town Counsel Sanguinetti advising
that there was no law or by law making it necessary to
appoint an official Garbage collector.

that he would forward a proposed Plan of a rotary traffic

It was voted 'to'write the town treasurer:requeSting him to take
--the'same action as last year relative to deposinting the'
funds for our sahre of the Steamship Auth. deficit so that
they would be drawing interest.
Mr. Howard Bardsley,of the adaket Conservations Asso. was

the Board and also commented that the Hmiths point rd had

supt. of streets for information.
It was voted to write the U.S. Coast Guard relative to the appear ~nce
of the Madaket and Surfsid~ stations and requesting that ,
