The meeting came to order a{ 7.30 PM ail members of the Boarfi ~ except Mr. Meilbye being presen$.
Warrant No. ll,,totalling $20,880.43 was Present'ed by Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes 6f the previous meeting were read arid approved.
Chief Howes was present and discussed With the Board his re-
f commendation that we purchase a Jeep 4 wheel drive vehicle
for a Police Cruiser this year, stated that he felt the
dept. should have a 4 wheel dr. vehicle and that as regard:
its use as' an ambulance same was used as one very seldom
and only in emergencies. No action was taken on the matter
at this time.
It was voted to authorizre the Mosquito Control Commission to
open Miacomet Pond to the ocean. ~,
The Board discussed the matter,of extending the Commercial Scallo
Season thru 11 April subject to approval of same by the
Division of Marine Pisheries.
Mildred Morrision i0 Cliff Rd. was grantd a renewal of her Lodg-
ing house license at said address.
On motion duly made and seconded it Was voted that the Secy. be
authorized t6,~signalic~nges'.and'permits'in behalf of the
Board after the Board has voted to grant or approve same.
Mr. Aime L. Pottier dba Aime's Bakery lower Orange St. was grantee
a common vict license to be used in connection with-an
electric barbecue he is to install at the rear of his
bakery bldg. no food to be consumed on the premises.
The Board discussed with the Sewer commission,the matter of a
Special Town meeting and'on motion duly made and secon4ed
~ - opened the Warrant for Special Town meeting to be held
at the High School Au$itiorim on Monday 6 April 1959 at
7.30 PM, at 8.30 PM inserted articles for the repair of
the sewer force main as presented by the sewer commission
and an article submitted by 100 reg. voters relative to
a five day week for the~fire dept. and
zRm~e~z'and an article to authorize the town to purchse
for a town dump and closed the warrant at-8.32; At 8.45
on motion made and seconded the warrant was opened to
sert two articles submitted by the, Tree Commission relative
to insect pest control,and poisen~ ivy and voted closed at
8.50. -' ,
Mr. and Mrs John McElderry dba Anchor~inn were granted a Lodging
house license with permit to serve,breakfasts tO guests only
Application were received from Robert S. Backus dba The Wauwinet
House and Siasconset Book Store Inc. for ranewal of their
~all alcoholic beverage licenses and voted to take the
course prescribed by law.
Applications for approval of pole locatons on Massasoit Rd.' and
Nobadeer Way were received and date Of hearing set for
2 April 1959. ~
Application was ~eceived and approved of Harold Lindly dba Ships
Inn and Pour Chimneys for Innholders license and recorded
music at the Ships Inn.

The Board voted~to have the~Family Shell£ish'licenses,and the
Commercial~uahog'licenses bear, the skme regulations~as
" last'year,~stipulating~that 'on the Family license ~ that
the'special-,clafm season held last year on Sundays in the
month on April be not included.-,
The Bo&rd then went into executive session to discuss appointment,,'
and adjourn~ed at 10. 45 P~l.
