Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. blinutes ~i th~ previous meeting were-read' and approved. Mr. Robert Hardy and Mr. John Golden of the Public Relations committee were present and presented sealed bids-.to be opened by the Board for the printing of 15,000 guest house' booklets as per specifications. It was noted before opening the bids that the time as originally specified would be extended to 16 June 1958 for the completion of. this work. Bids'were as follows: Inq. & Mirror -- $450.00; Town Crier' $397.50.it was voted that same be awkrded to the lowest bidder, the Town Crier. A 'request was received from the Chamber of Comme~e to' move' their sign from Broad street and hang same over the side- walk at their new office on S. Water street. ~ It was voted that ~due'to the Memorial day holida~ that our. meeting next week would be on Wednesday at 8 PM. ! The following licenses and permits were~ approved: Aime Pottier, soft drink and ice cream. Allen Holdgate, soft dring. Mad Hatter, .entertainment recorded music. ~ Leon Moynihan, soft drink. Manuel Souza, Sp. police for traffic duty on Polpis Rd.cons Lloyd Walsh and J.~Marsh, Common vici. ' Annette Parle, Lodging house license,.Nan~tucket Ho~se. Louise Collins, permit to move small bldg. from S. Water St ~. to Polpis. Pole location, for s'~ub pole on Monomoy Rd. ~ 'A letter'was received from Capt. Nicholas Norton commenting on- jetty proposals in the harbor and placed on file. A letter was~trecived from the C.O. o~ the Naval Facility ad- vising or_the equipment~they had available for use in any emergency · 'Signed lease of the day camp at the,Jetties beach was received ~ ,,from Mr. Chas. Houston lessee. i't was voted to adv. a 'public hearing to be he~'d on harbor construction, to be held at the Cyrus Pierce Aud.~onTues/ the 27th at 8PM. - The matter of .the }e'quest of Douglas LaWrence for an extension of 30 to 45 days on the job of installing windows at our Island Home was discussed, and it was voted that same be , denied. , It was voted that the comforst stations be open over the Memoria Day Weekedn. There being no ,further business the board went into executive session, and adj. at 10.30 PM.
