The meeting:came to order at 7.30 PM all members of the Board
being present.
Warrant No~" 7 totalling $27;710.68 was presented by Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
A letter was received from Messers W. 'Byron snow: '
and John
Meilbye commenting onthe Boards discussionwith Mr. Richards
of the Fishermens Asso. last week as regards the Jetties
Beach bill and placed on file.
A petition was received from the Gas & Elec.'Col and the Tel.
Co. relative to a pole location on Eel Point rd. and date
set for hearing on 27 Feb. 5§/
The Board voted to transfer the old Sconset Ford Fire truck
from the central fire station to the Nant. Memorila Airport
PTA was granted a permit for a Bazaar and dance at the High
school auditorium on Sat. Peb. 22 from 2pm to midnite.
A letter was received fromthe Wannacomet Water Co, in reply to
our inquirt as resards water mains adsising that they were
in the process of planning and would advise us further.
A letter was received from Robert R. Leske Jr. Ins. Agent reques'
lng an opportunity to bid or participate in the Town Ins.
This matter was discussed and it was voted that this matter
,should be considered at a later date byh the new Board of
Selectmen and that we advise A. G. Brock and Congdon and
Coleman to only bind any insurance that might be expireing
in the near future until this matter was decided.
The Board approved the applicationof Mrs Gertrude Lamb for a
license to peddle.
A letter was received from Mrs Kent K. King relative to'the
Childrens ~each and placed on file.
A letter was received from Mrs Alice Dacey relative to her
application for a Common Vict. license, and voted to
notify her that we could take no action on same at this
time.
A letter was received from Rep. Robert Mooney advising thai the
legislature had not approved the enabling act relative to
the Jetties Beach, and placed on file.
Mr. Harold Lindley was granted a renewal of his Innholders Lic-
enses at Four Chimneys and Ships Inn.
A letter was received from Justin McCarthy Co. advising that the
factory had discovered a defect in the machine used to
couple fire hose and couplings and requesting that the
hose recently purchased be returned to the factory for
testing,-at no exp3nse to the town.
The matter of tolling the town clock before the electi6n and
town meeting was discussed~
There being no further business the Board went into executive
session to discuss Welfare matters and adjourned at 10 PM.
WELFARE:
The matter of a portion of the hospital bill of Etta
Nickerson not covered by Blue Cross and amounting to $23.50
was discussed and voted approved to pay. /~ //,~ ·
