The meeting came to'order at 7.30 PM all members of the Board
except Mr. Blair being present.
Warrant No. 53 totalling $5624.55 'was checked~by the Board and
Warrant No. 1 of 58 was checked-and approved in the amount
of $356.21.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Mr. Matthew Jaeckle conferred with the Board relative to various
articles to,be submitted in the annual warrant with reference
to the highway dept.
Mr. George Jones,.Ch. of the 300th Anniversary Committee reporte~
to the Board the activities andprogress of said committee
and requested'that the Board approved the committees request
to extend the contract with Mr. Edward Terhan for the months
of Jan. and Feb. 1958 and same was voted approved.
A letter was received from the Nant. Tree Commission advising
that Mr. William Voorneveld had been appointed Ch. j of said,
Commission.
A letter.was received from the Hudson N.Y. chamber of commerce
inviting a representative of the Board to attend a cleebratio~
being held and same was placed on file.
A letter was received fromthe Siasconset Water Commmission re-
questing that an article of last year setting up funds for
a survey be continued this year, and same was referred to
the town accountant.

Eleanor Royal was granted/a Common Vict. Ice Cream and Soft
drink license at her Main street property subject to ins
of the premises when ready for operation.
Kent K. King was granted a renewal of his Innholders license at
the Moorings on Brankt point and at Gardner street not to be
operated'both at the same time.
Mr. Anthony Docca~was granted a renewal of his Common Vict. lic
dba Andys Diner.
White Whale Chev. Inc. was granted a renewal of its Class I used
car dealers license.
Allen Holdgate dba Airport Snack Bar was granted a renewal of his
Common Vict. and Ice cream licenses..
The resignation~°f Mr. Albert E. Whitehill from the Public re-
lations committee was received and filed.
A letter Was received from the Chief of the Fire Dept. requesting
approval to dispose of the~old'1925 La~rance pumper. It was
suggested that same might be of use to the airport and the
matter tabled until the Airport commission could discusskthe
matter.
Sealed bids on the printing of the 1957 town report were received
and opened as follows: Town Crier $3.49 per page:'Inq. & mirr,r
$3.97 per page. It was voted that same be awarded to the lowes
bidder.
There being no further business the Board went into~executive
session to discuss welfare matters and adj. at 10 PM.
Welfare: It was suggested that we check with the town counsel
on the Margaret Dwight property in Monomoy.

It~was voted~to check on the money available under,the
article for the fi~e and police Gen. for the installation of
automatic switches. ----$239.65
It was voted to Write Justin McCarthy advising him that 51engtsh
of 2½" hose am~x purchase from his firm~ had been tested
and the couplings had come off, at under 400 lbs pressure
and that said hose was being returned to him.
It was voted to have thekeeper of Our Island Home made a writen
inventory of the linen and bedding for examination fot the
Board.
