The meeting came to order at 7.30 PM, all members of the Boa'rd
being present except Mr. Hardy who attended the Finance

Warrant NO. 4S, totalling,$12',025.g8 was presented~by Town Acct
Bar~ett and checked and approved by the Board. :, ~-~-~ ,~

~z. and ~zs S~ep~en Hezlitz and ~v. Ho~a~a Barasley me~
the Board and' discussed the matter of the Broad Creek
Crossing and the inroads being made by the ocean. ~It
was felt that there was little ~e could do at the cross:
lng area itself but Mr. Herlitz felt ~e should do every-
thing possible to p~eserve the bank and shore at the ~ear
of his property. After discussion it ~as Voted: To request
the Supt. of streets to put any available sno~ fence in
the area from the old Bardsley property east towards
Madaket, and to w~ite the Dept. of Public ~orks, waterways
Division and see if ~e could have an Eng. come do~n and
look at the situation and give us some advise as to the
prope~ p~ocedu~e to follow.
A lette~ was received from Mr. He,man Dine, Dir. of Accounts
giving his opinion to all Tom Treasu~e~s that it
necessary for the Commissioners to seek bids each year
on insurance p~ogr~ for town and county employees.
Renewal applications fo:' alcoholic beverage licenses were ~e-
ceived from the following and voted to take the course
prescribed by law: Nant. Isl. P~od. Co. Inc. dba Capn
Tobys Chowde~ Bar; Walter ~& Helen Hatch and Clinton and
Agnes Murray. ,, .~ .... ,
Contracts ~eze ~eceived f~om the D.P.M. bn the Ch. 90 ~ork on
Milk street extension the lowest bidde~ being ~alter
Glo~acki and approved and signed by the Board.
A letter was received from the Town Counsel advising that in his opinion all'of the land at the Jetties Beach
Town Park land. ,, .:
It was voted'to request the Supt. of streets to take in and
store the bicycle racks located'at Surf side.
~r. Indio commented that the Hyannis Board of trade had issued
a statement that capital was available for a line' from
~annis to Nantucket to carry frt. and Passengers. It was
felt that this matter should be explored further.

Beach was discussed and it was voted'to have the Secy.

to Union.
