The Board discussed the matter,of,theage limit for.eligiability,
to obtain a commercial scallop license'and on motion made
and seconded it was voted that any resident'of the tonw
12 years of age or over could obtin a permit.,
A Mr. Dearie Robbins of the CAA discussed with'the Board his-~
eligiability for a commercial scallop license and it was
determined that if he was registered as a legal voted he
would be eligible.
Mr. Hugh G. Mac¥icar was appointed a Sp. Police officer on the
recommendation 6f Chief Howes to serve at the Ham propery,
on Hummock Pond during the 1st week of Dec. 1957, the'local
Deer season.
A fori notice was received from the DPU on the application of the
Nantucket Gas &Elec. co for authority to issue bonds, hearir
on same to be held 12 Nov. 1957 at Boston.-
A notice was received from ~ep. Mooney advising that the date
filing any'legislation was 4 Dec; The Board decided to have
Mr. Barrett meet with us. and go over the plan of the Jetties
Beach. ,. ~, ,.
Planned Playtime was wuth0rized to hold a well child clinic as in previous years on Nov.'12th and'13th.
Mrs Cath. ~llershaw was granted a permit to hang a sign over the
street at her place of busness on Center St. same having bmen
approved by the Historic Districts Commission.-

......... Supt. of Streets if he had avai[~bl
the plans on the proposed work on Monomo¥ Rd. and if so to
set up a meeting for next week to go over same with some of
the abutters.
It was voted to authorize the Water Co. to install one new-hydrant
on New Lane location of same to be worked out in conjunction
with the fire Chief.
It was voted to ~sk Mr.'Robert Backus"0f the Steamship Auth. meeti
with us to discuss matters relative to the Authority..
Welfare:
The case of a Mrs DeYoung OAA was discussed and it was voted
to authorize her t~ansfer to Hilltop Hosp. Dorchester if
same in accord with the recommendations of the social worker
the meeting adj. at 8.45 PM.
