A hearing was held t~is date at Straight Wharf on'tkd:'a~01icabion
of Lawrence Miller for a license to erect a bulk storage plant&
Ch. Pease'being absent Mr. Hardy Served as Ch. Pro tern.' presnet
were board members Glidden and Blair.
The application was read and it was pointed out that this was not
actually a new matter but would be in place of the formerlly
approved location which abutted 01d North Wharf.
Mr. Hardy asked those in fa~vo~ to speak. Mr. and Mrs Richard
Everett stated they were in favor of the new location, as did
Mr. Robert Leske and Mr. Lawrence Miller.
Those opposed were Mrs Margare~ Fawcett Wilson who was Opposed to
any mo~eotanks generally.. -,
Members 'of the Historic Districts .Co~ission present stated ~ey
were in approval of the location but questioned the use of two
30ft hightanks as part of the installation, this matter was
discuse~ with Mr. Miller and~ representatives of Shell 0il Co.
and was resolved with ~e agreement to use these two ta~s in
a horizantal position rather than vertical, this was agreeable
to all presnt and the meeting was adj. till 8PM Wednesday ~9 May.
