A letter was received f~om the Sewe~ Dept. relative to ou~ inqui~; of last week advising ~at the Baxte~ ~oad work had not been put out to bid because they had advertised ea~lie~ in the yea~ on the lowe~ O~ange St. job and had ~eceived no bidders It was voted to advise them that we felt all ~obs should be out to bid and to send thei~ lette~ to the Finance Co~ittee fo~ thei~ file. A lette~ was received f~om Eben Hutchinson J~. ~elative to Co~m- e~cial wharf and advising that the p~ice of same was $100,006 dollars, same was placed 0n file. Letters were ~eceived' from Donald Ley and E~e~e~&cVia~ protestiu8 the paving of Nonaut~ Ave. S~fside and were referred to th~ Finance Co~ittee. N~. Allen Holdgate was granted a renewal 'of his Co--on Vict. and Ice Cream liceuse at the Airport Snack A lette~ was received f~om the Nass Selectmeus Asso. relative to pending bills ~elative to ~oadside stands and it was voted to support said bills which would make it uecessa~ to have a license f~om the town in question. M~s Laura E.-Pease was g~anted a ~euewal of her Bathing Beach Bus Line permit. The Board approved a joint pole location on 01d-South Rd. uo advertising being necessary. A lette~ was received from Ruduolphe BesseSte DPW wate~mys div.. advising that we must take some action ~elative to the Fed. harbo~ d~edgi~ p~oject. It was voted to dete~ine f~om our senators and representatives iu congress further on this matte~. A lette~ was received f~om Chief Howes, advising t~t N~. Huy~6~k and N~. Hebde~son of the dept were getting through and t~reiu ~espectfully and ~eouesting the temporary appointmen~ of N~. William Burdick J~. and }~. Leonard Ellershaw oeindg ~g establishment of au eligible list by the civi~ service. Nr. Gordon Turner b~ou ht up the ~tte~ of To~ Limits with ~ef- g . . to hunting and it was voted to w~ite the Dept. of conservat~o~ ~elative to this metter inasmuch as we~ are both a town and county and the whole island is actually the town. ~ The~e being uo fu~the~ bus,.ness the meeting adjou~ed at 906 James K.
