Warrant No; 36 'totalling $21'044.60 ,was 'presented by' Town Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.. Minutes of ~he previoUs. meeting~were read and approved. Nr. Me.win Blount, harbor master and Lt. Bouchard and Warrant Crowley were present and discussed with the Board the matter of control of water skteiug~ and other fast boat operations in the harbor. Lt. Bouchard being on the island to make an investigation of a water skieing accident. After some dis- cussion it was voted as follows: 1. That the harbor master with the Coast Guard officers draw ~up a proposed set of regulations to be presented to the Board for action. 2. That Water skieing be prohobited in NantuckebHarbo~ from the Jetty entrance inward except between first and second points Coatue. Mr. George Jones Of the Transportation committee was present and discussed with the Board the recommendations of the Trans. Committee with reference to a pet. by Searoad Trans. Co. Inc for an interstate carriers permit. It was voted to have a meeting with Mr. Howard U. Chase of the authority to discuss this matter further. The U.~ Si Naval Facility was granted a permit for a dance atl Leg. Hall on Sat. 8 Sept. they to provide own shore patrol. Mr. David H. Wood was granted an auctioneers license for two auctl for a church c~arity. Letters were received from Mr..Henry B. Coleman and Mitchell Todd resigning from activity on the Nant. Mosquito Control Comm. and placed on file, Notice was received of the duty of the Board to meet to draw Jurors and it was voted to meet at the town clerks office on Monday l0 Sept. at 11 AM for this purpose. The matter of the petition of the Gas & Elec. Co. for permits'to erect poles on Prospect and S. Prospect streets and Sconset Ave.~was before the Board and no one objecting was voted approved~ Bids were received and opened as follows ou furnishing~fuel heati~ oil to the town bl~gs f~om l~0ct. 56 to l'0ct. Island Set. Co.'l$ off,~osted price (which would be a bid of Sherburne 0il Co..149% per gal. It was voted that same be awarded the lowest bidder SherbU~n~ oil co. and that the town counsel be requested to draw up th~ Necessary contracts. A letter was received from Mrs Elma'Loins relative to sidewalks and streets and filed. A certified copy of the act of the legislature authorizing a pen' sion to Wilson Cash was received and placed on fiel. There being no further business the meeting adj. at 10 PM. James K.
