The ~meeting cai~ to order at 9.20 PM having been preceeded by a
County Comm~issioners meeting.
~Atl members of the Board wer, e present except Mr. Coffin.
V~a~ra~t No. 27, totalling ~25,558.59 was'presented by Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Minutes' of the previous meeting were aporoved.
Rogers Inc. was granted a ~enewal of their soft ~dr~flk license.
~;~r.~ Robert Blair and ~r. Stewart Moo~ey and ~r. B. J. Holmes
were granted Sp. Poll ce permits upon approval of Chief Howes
the latter to serve at the .Yacht Club.~ ~ :
It was voted to ~have the wire insp.' and ~r. Snow of the gas & ele
company meet with us next week.
Upon recommendation of Chief Howes it ~as voted that the traffic
rules be amended so that one hour parking~on main streeet
extend down as far as Candle street on both sides.
~r. Carl Stig of the Grey Gull was granted a ~enewal of his
Common Vict. license.
~rs Thor~s Gibson in behal~f of the ladies of the Baptist Ch~urch
was granted permission to use the Sanford House grounds for
an apron and food sale. ~.
;~;Ir. John Sidney con,~::ay was ~granted a soft d~ink license at the
Whale Golf Driving Range.
~. Parker G~ay dba Ifnotty~ Pines was granted an entertainment
license for records and piano.
The Board then went into executive session.
~'~r. i~les Reis garbage collector disc~usssd his ~oblems ~el~tiug
to the unauthorized collections by other truc~Gnan and it
was voted to meet with Chief Howes at 4PM~on Fri. to discuss
this matter.
An application for ~adm!ttance to the Island Home by Mrs Horatio
~'~yagner was approved,~ the Board to decide when more
was available what the board would be.
