Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. Minutes of the previous meeting were ~'ead and approved. Mr. William Winslow Shellfish Warden was present and 'suggested that-Bachacha Pond be opened and it was voted to adv. ~ for bids for same to be in by next meeting. Mr. Winslow reported that he had placed some chicken wire cages with scallop shells in them in various locations principal.~y iu Coskata Pond in an attempt to trap Oyster spat. The matter of the child~ens b~ach~was discussed and it was voted that the Ch. be a co.~om~ittee of one to have the cement blocks which were formerly the bases of the swings removed or buried. M~s Clement Reynolds wrote request&rig approval of steps'on the green on Main st. sconset in front of her property. As it appeared that this was on the state highway layout and also under the jur.isdiciton of the Historic Districts Corem. she was referred to these two agencies. .~ The Siasconset Casino was granted a peEnit to show sound motion pictures during the coming season. Chief Howes fo~ward~approvals of Tho~as Gibson, George Lusk, William Garnett and Roswell Holmes and John Hamblin, all Airport personnell and Clarence Swift and Robert Deeley as Sp. police officers, Same were approved as recozo~neuded. The matter of an application of Edga~ T. Lindstrom for Sp. police at the wharf was brought up and voted to check same with Chief Howes. Mrs Beulah Scully dba The Blacksmith Shop was granted a renewal of her Contmon Vict. license. A letter was receive~\from the Chief ~f the Taunton Police Dept. recommending one Eern~hd~H~l~ndu a retired policeman for or as the night mgr at the Ocean House lodge. Same was ' approved and license-voted issued on condition that Premise ~be run in an orderly manner so as to create no undue dis- turbance or nuisance. Eh!e~tt-er~w~s~R~eceiv~d fro~'the U. S.~ Army Eng.' relative to the ~cost and ~,fno would bear same of a erosion survey and it v~s voted to write the DPW waterwasy div. and request thei~ participation in this matter. A I'~. Tho~s Jackrell wrote requesting permission to sketch on Main street and same was approved so long as ut obstructior~ or nuisance was caused. The Board 'then went into executive session; }~. Myles Reis met with the Board and asked that the road leadin to his disposal area be scraped and it was voted to refer same to Supt. of streets. Mr. Reis also discussed with t~he Board the matter of garbage collection and it was voted to ~Tite chief Howes that Mr. Reis was the only authorized collector and to take acti~ steps to prohibit other truck~ from collecting garbage.
