Warrant No. ~, ~otalling '~/l/~'~j~ was presented by Town Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. Minutes of the previous meeting were ee~d and approved. A co~municatiou was received from the Gas and Ele.C Co. relative to all requests for ne w services~beiug cleared thru the local wi~e inspector. It was voted to ask the Town Counsel if the statute provided for any fee for same and if so would same go to theiuspector or the town~. The following licenses and permits were granted: Gordon Folger, Innilolder; Mrs William Nixon, Common Vict. Soft, drkin and Ice c~eam; Harbor House, Nobadeer, Wauwinet House and Mad Hatter entertainment licenses. ~ A letter was recei~zed from th~ Tree commission ~elative to new dates for their weekly meetings and placed on file. A Ne. Lawrence Farese of Boston wrote eeouestiug the Boards app- roval of an art ga]le~y and the showing of sound motion pictures pertaining to art, at the Legion Hall this season. It was voted to tenativly approve same on condition that the proper approval was received from the state fire marshall.' office. ~pecifications were received relative to the fire and police gen- erator and it was voted to refe~ same to the two former interested contractors bids to be in by ~ ~uue 1956. The matter of cement blocks at the childre6s beach was discussed and it was~the opinion of all that the most practical wa~y to get rid ~of them was to use a bulldoze~ and bury them. No vote was taken ou this matter. .. The matter of painting the front, of the Sanford House and repairin~ the windows was discussed and it was voted to'determine the amount of money available in the town building fund. It was voted to write Mr. Richard Eldrldge relative to the Scouset Bus stand that unless the ~ob was co~4oleted~satis£actorily by one week nai~iely the~0th of June that we would have to get someone else to c~uplete the Job and make the necessary adjustment in his price bid.
