Warrant No. 2B, totalling ~8',856.64 was presented by Town Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. ~inute's of the previous meeting were read and 'approved. I~r. John H. Bartlett Jr. was present and discussed width the Board the matter of plowing the Fire stop at the Town Dump. it was voted that same be approved work to be done under super- vision of the Fire Chief. ~,Ir. William Feegan having reported to the Board as regards our request to it~spqect his properties before issuing a lodging house license it was voted to determine if san'..e would' be ready for inspection on Thur. at 1PM.' ?~r. Elwyn Francis was appointed a ~pecial Police Officer, on approval of Chie£ Hov~es. A letter was received from Supt. of-Streets Jaeckle with refereu¢ to the type of product we were getting from the use of tar as a road mix and stating that he requested we return to asphalt. It was voted to have a meeting to discuss this matter on Thursday at 1.30 PM. Town Counsel Sanguinetti presented an easement to the Steamship Authority of a section of land near the wharf and same was aoproved and signed by the Board. An application from A. Preston Nanchester for a lodging house license at Ocean House Lodge was tabled until we could be advised as to who his watchemau would be. Fire Chief Bartlett wrote advising that in the near future the call no's 2 and ~ woul.~ be abondeued at which time it might be possible for the CG 8~ footer to use Z as a recall signal He aslo reque~ed approval of obtaining someone to, complete the work of pointing and waterproofing as voted, same having been advertised but no bids having been received. It was voted that the Ch. be a co~muittee of one to go into this matter with the Chief. ~.r. Allen Holdgate was granted a renewal of his soft drink lic. ~ at the Ar~iport Snack Bar. The Board then went into executive session to discuss welfare matters and adjourned at 9.15 James K. Glidden, Secy.
