'W/arrant No. 20 totalling ~16,952.62 was presented by To~n Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. Niuutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. An a'pplication'was received and approved for the transfer of the lodging house license issued to Eyre to R~bert Hardy and wife. Au application of one George.T. King for a position at the Neus Comfort station, town was received and filed. Mr. Gordon Stewart was granted a Soft Nriuk license at his ser- vice ststion Soarks Ave. Town W. P. Hardy and 'son were granted a renewal of their Gun Shop license at S. Water St. Town. A communication relative 'to ~ffadaket Buoys was received from the Fishermeus Asso and referred to the Harbor I',ffaster. Ray Wiley dba as the Chanticleer was granted a renewal of his Iuuholder s license. A letter was received from the Tree Co~.~aission advising that the contract for spraying for. ticks had been let and that we would be advised of the actual spraying dates. Dreamland Theatre was granted a Sunday entertainment permit for the coming summer season. A letter was received from the Supt; of Streets relative to an inquiry for the T~lephone Co. as regards an exten2ion of their underground service in'upper main street. As this letter had also been sent to the Tel. Co. same was filed. The following licenses and permits were granted: . Nantucket Candy Kitche, Common Vict. Soft Drk. & Ice Cream. Esther Gibbs: Iunholder Joseph ~.!cHugh, Soft Drink. ~Nauuel Correra , entertainment, v~ek days only. it was voted to have the Fire Chief inspect the Fire Ext. and Fire Hose at Our Island Home. The matter of Bulldozing services at the town dumps was discueee, and it was voted to have the Caretakers obtin figures on Bulldozing and submit to us for consideration'. ~r. Robert Cumrie Lessee of the Jetties Beach submitted a list of necessary repairs to the beach exterior and the Board voted to inspect the premises on Fri. at i P~.~ and to invite the Finance Committee. A lette~ was received from l:Irs. W. 'Pepper Constable me~ative to traffic on Beach St. and fo~'~arded to the Police Dept. I,'ir.'irving Soveriuo was granted a permit to move a t~uck ove~. .the street:s of the Town to the new hospital site in excess of the Weight limit he advising that same was loaded with' steel beams and could not be readily broken down.
