Warrant No. 1V, totalling $19,241.59 was presented by Town Acct. Barrett and chekced and approved by the Board. Minutes of the ~ . prey_cue meeting were a'poroved Nr. Walter Glowacki was present and'discussed with the Board his bi~ of .V0 per gal as submitted for sealcoatiug and after discussion it was voted that i£~. Glowacki be awarded this portion of the road contract for the ensuing year. Nr. John Walsh was present and requested a renewal of his Junk Dealers Lic. same was approved for the~locatiou of W. York Land and 8., Prospect St. and on condition that 'the atlantic Ave. property be cleaned up by I June 1956. Nr. Jaeckle, Supt. of streets was present and discussed with the Board various reco~uendations made by Chief Howes and he as regards traffic. After discussion it was voted as'follow~ That },Iain St. Sq; be one hour parking surmner and winter from 8A}~ to 8P}~. That Union from I¥1ain to Salem; Salem from Union to WaSh; and Wash. both sides from i~lain to Salem, be cue hour parking, from 8A]~ to 8B~.. That Easton St. from Hulbert Ave. to C. G. Reservation be' no parking. That Atlantic Eve.be no parking of the E. side for 150 feet from the intersection of Pleasant St. ' ~That Chestnut street be ~ade two way fro~ Fe~leral to Center and that parking be prohibited on the South side. That the area of ]'~ain street from Lower Nain to Still Dock in front of the Pacific Club be no parking. All of'thes~ regulations to become effective on 15 ~Iay 1956 It was voted to write I~Ir. L. R. Sellew, District HighWay Eng. and Conmissioner Volpe ~requesting ~that the Center lining program on our roads be continued. ~r.~ Harold Gaillard was granted a piano and zither entertainment license at the Opera house on weekdays only. Bids were received on the Scsnset Bus stand and the Sconset Fir~ station as follows: ~ Bus Stau~ painting as Der specifications Richard Eldridge only bidder ~225.00 Voted. Martindale Coffin the town and scouset co~ lectors respectively can collect and Eake a charge therefor. It was Voted to w~ite a letter to representative Barnes questing him to go forward with the bill on the' steamship authority park laud as voted by the tov~n.
