Barrett-and checked and~apvroved by the ~oard.
M~nutes of the ~revisus meeting were ~ead and approved.
Warden Winslow Was present and discussed with thee Board Soft
shell clam~ it was voted to open a special one'month'
season on soft shell clams~ on Sundays only during
month or'April, .in the roi]crying areas, Polpis Harbor,
Coskata opening, Coskata Pond, and Great Point, the
limit to be~one ten quart .pail of claims in shells,per
pets on.
I2 was further voted that the existing'c~os~d seas0n-on~s~ft
shell clams be extended from 25 March to 1 April 1956.
Town Courts'el Sa~guin~ttf and i~Ir. Chase of the~ Stamship Auth
~ conferred with the board relative to details of the
~ proposed ferry slip.
~[r. l~iathan Thurst~n former town g~bage collecto~ was present
~ and presented a letter recounting his troubles during the
years he was collector and statin~ that he felt all ~ruc_c.
' man should be allowed to collect garbage. Requested a
. permit to collect garbage for his pigs. No action take[a
on same at this time.
Bids on Painting of the S~n~ord House were received as fo!!ov~s W.~P. Hardy & Son V---~595.00
Dick Eldridge 385.00 Voted to lowest bidder.
Bids on the curb previously advertised were received from
the Nantucket Const Co. of 280'~ curb and 10 corner blocks
delivered at the town barn for 1250.00. A questionable
bid ¥~as received from H.'E. F!etched co. offering more
curb but appearing to provide same at~ the woods hole wha
and we to ~!ce ~the other arra~gements. No action was .tak~
on av~arding this ~'satter till we could get more informati
on this bid.
Mr. Walter Huffman requested a curb at h~s property on ~gill
and stated he would install a sid6walk at no cost to the
-~,~r. Cbs Chambers and Fred Furl0n~ w~re approved as sp. ~o!i~e c
approval of Chief
igr. Robe~ Se!ander-of the CA2 applie~, for a ts~i permit, but
~ as ii'appeared he was not a legal resident sa~?.e was not
,~ approved.
i~.ir. Patrick Roshe was granted a trxi per-'it.
it was 'voted to'instruct the Sup.or. streets to repair the road leading into ~ae town dump.
Liquor lic~.~ ~plicati0ns were received~fro~i Nobadeer, Inc. the
Islander Inc. the Chicken_ _ Box and the ~_~'~ ~ ~lub and
.~oted to ~ake the course prescribed by law.

Innholders lic at No. !5 Clfff Rd. and it was .voted-to
approve a lodging '
