Barrett and checked and approved_by the Board. [,Iinutes of the previous meeting vzere read and approved. ~J~r. Sanguinteei, Town counsel' was, pre~ent au~ thanked the Board for his re-appointment as TownCouns9l. ~r. LeRoy True of the' High School bldg. 'conmzittee reoorted that' said com~itt&e--would be submitteing a final ~eport to,the B~rd-in the near future. ~.~r.~ True~ representing the 0rganizat~ons ~whic~~'~ad ~oo~ered the historic districts~con~aission bill~presented ~e Board the pen used by Gov. Herter to sign~said Bill and also st~bmitted the na~ues of Norman Giffen, ~H.~Brooks Walker, ~ Gladys Wood, V~~. ~Ripley Nelson and George W. Jones for con- sideration on' said Co~r~ttee. It was voted~that the ~Peh be turned over to the Historical Society. that the spouseriug organizations be thanked for their work on this matter and that the names as submitted be appointed to the said Historic Districts Co~ssion.' Nr. }~alcolm Brady was present and req~uested to be considered as desiring to bid on granite curb. Chief Ba~tlet~~ of~ the Fir~ ~Dept~. v~as present a-~d'dis~ussed with the Board specifications for various Fire Dept. equipment ~o be purchased. It was voted to advertise for bids on some of this same to be in by~V ~¥Iarc~ 0n m0~tion ~ade an~'seconded it ~vas v~ted t~~ accept~the,gi~t~~ of the~oil truck donated to the fire dept.'by the Island Set.~ Co. it being understood ~ that no money was~to~ ~ spent on same and t~t it was to bemused primarily for oil storage at a fire' fighting Class area. ~ It was ~ot~ed to ad-~ertise for parents to secure'polio vaccine assent cards fr~'the Secy. Board,of Health by Fri. 2 ~,~arch.~so that we could get our program ~u~erway. The cards for the children in school to be given out by the school~ ~ ~ '~ },~r. Eldred~Gardu~r a%plied~f0~re-app$int~ent as~a Sp.~Police ~ ~ and~was approved subject to approval~by Chief Ho~es. I~. D~is Dias ¥~as granted a renewal of his Juke Box ent. ~, license ~ '~ ~ne Nant. Yacht ~lub. v~s' gra~ted a rehearsal of its Co~m~on Vi~t Ice Cream. Soft Drkin. motion picture and entertainment ~ licenses for the ensui~ year. The application of one Charles Babel~for an Co~on Vict. license at the~for~r Holdgate~pooperty on Lily Street was discussed and'not approved. ~e application of G. Pangborn and L. Brabec for an I~holders license at Cliff Rd. was discussed and not approved. ~r.
