Cards of instructions to voters, penalty cards, voting lists and specimen
ballots were p6sted outside the guard ~rail;~ [ instructions to voters and
penalty cards were'posted in the b0ot~s. The following ballot:clerMs w~re'
sworn in: GeOrge 'R.~ Grimes, H~rbert C~' W6od,' Edwin E. Sculley,. Franklin H.~
Thu~ston, John J. Driscotl Jr..~ Wesley A. Ford~ce was sworn iu as Warden.
The ballots in three packages Said to contain 666 Democratic and 1931
Repdblican ballots were delivered to the ballot clerks and their receipt taken
therefor.
The ballot'box and emergency ballot box were then opened fo~ public
inspecti6n. They' ~ere examined by George R. Grimesi' Edwiu F.~ Sculley~ .
Seddon W. 'Lsgg Sr.~ and Charles clark' Coffin and found to ~bg empty.; The
register' on the ballot box was 'set at O0001 both boxes locked and the keys

The Official Warrant'for the election was Presented by Constable Wendell H.
Howes. The Town Clerk, Charles ClArk Coffin called'the ~eeting to order
and read the warrant. At 7:00 A.M. the Polls were declared open.
