The meeting came to order at 7.30 PM all members of the Board
except Nr. Pease being present. .,
Mr. Hardy served as~Ch. Pro. Tem in the absence of Ch~ Pease.
~inutes of the previous meeting were read and app'~oved.
Warrant No. 52 totalling $14,463.61 w~.s presenbed by Town Acct
Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
Ch. of the Fire Dept. Bartlett was present and discussed with
the Board the matter of Fire station doors and it Was voted to
authorize the Chief to make a visit to the Cape to inspect
doors of ~the type recommended to him.
Bids'on the prin~ing ~f 'the 195§ town report were 'received and
opened as follows: Town Crier ---$3.84 per page 600_copies
Iuq. & Mirror 3.90 per page 600 copies
It was voted that the matter be awarded ~to the lowest
bidder the Town Crier.
A re'port was received from'the iterim planning board and filed
Mr. Andrew Docca was granted a renewal of his Common Vict. lic
It was voted to have budget meetings on'Monday With the'Police
and Fire depts and on Tues with the Welfare and island Home.
A letter was received from Mrs Rosamond Sykes' asking for a
new sidewalk and a retaining wall'at her Westchester St.
property. It was the sense of the meeting that the Secy. write
Mrs Sykes advising her how, to get an article in the annual
warrant. ~' , '
There' being no further .business the Board Went'into executive
session to discuss a welfare matter and adj. at 9.30 PM.
Welfare: On the application of Mr. Irving Hatch for admis'~ion
to Our Island Home as a boarding patient,-it was voted that
this application be denied on the basis 'that we, have at pre
only one.room available on the mens side and that this must
be kept available to strictly welfare cases. -~
