The meeting came to order at 8PN all members of the Board
being present.
Warrant No. ~47 totalling ~ '

Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.'
Ninutes of the previous meeting were rezd a~d approv~ed.~
A letter was. received from Nr. Turner of the Wood'Hole Lab.~
relative to his opinion on seed scallop, he was of. the ,opinion
that unless a scallop had a well defined raised growth mark
it was a seed.
Approval was granted of a request of Shellfish Warden ~Vinslow
to have ]~r. Turner down as speaker at the Fishermens Asso.
suppler in Dec. ~'
It was voted to request the Post Office that ~.~e Lo~by be kept
open till 9PN.
Niss A'. Cravott Town'Nurse was Present aud'tur~ed over to the
Board some phamplets on Puboic Health sent her by the state
and requested approval of the final'week of her annual vacatio
during Christmas ~Veek~ same was approved.' ~.
Renewal applications~ for alcoholic beverage licenes were re-.
ceived from the following and voted to take the~course pres-
cribe'd by law: Antone ~J. Souza, Walter & Helen Hatch,
Clinton & Agnes [~_urray~ James T. Worth; Inc. Nantucket Spa,'
Saukaty Head Golf Club. Nsntucket Island Products Inc.
An ~pplication was~ received from the V~nnacomet WaterCo.
for permission to dig up Vesper lane for installing a water
service ,to ~he new Hosp.,a letter protesting the;granting~of
such a~permit v~s received from S~pt. of streets Jaeckle
and after discussion it was voted to deny said application on
the-basis that t~his pipe could be installed under the road
without disturbi,ng the surface, r ..
it Was voted to have~Su~t. ~Jaeckle~have a'skebch drawn ~p~
of land needed at the V~naling }~Iuseum corner, ,for presentation~
to the ~¥iuseum directors.

to discuss Civilian Defense.~ ~. ~
Bulldoz$~r work at the town dump ~was discussed and it was the
feeling of the Board that as~previously voted~this work should
be done by Walter Glowacki who had been the lowest bidder on
the original bid request.
There being no further business the meeting adj. at 9.1~
