Merwin B10unt harbor m~ster reported that the Army Eng. had advised that the anchorage .area would a~p~a-r on forth- coming government charts. was. voted to aut~roze ~r. B10unt to have the Body Off 'the Htuuaine house at Tuckernuck removed at a cost no to exceed ~50.00. - - A letter was ~ecefved from Dir. Francis Sargent. ~f ~the Con- servation Dept. relative to our questionable seed'scallop ~ and suggesting that we have biologist turner of Woods Hole examine the said scallop. After discussion it was voted to amend the commercial Scallp regulations as follows: , - By adding~a new sect~ion to be desiganted as section 3D to read as follows: "No 'scallops shall be',taken under this permit'~unless they have a well defined raised annual grox~th line, as provided by Sec. 70 of Chapter 130 of the General Laws Annottated."~ By amending Section 7A to' read' as 'follo~-.~s: "A first .violation of any of the sections two to Six' inclusive shall be punishable by revocation of.license for not more than 30 days from the date of the Boards action revoking said lic- ense. If said'penalty should carry_over the end of.the~season, the balance of the penalty remaining shallb e carried over and be effective in the next scallp~season.'! On motion made and secOnded,it was voted to reinstate the con~uercail scallop license of l¥Ir.. ~,iarinus ~Scheele. A letter was received from ~r. Sellew District highway eng. advising 'of sums set up by the state~for Ch. 90 projects. the sums being 30,000 for new const, and lO,O00 for_maintenance A petition was'redeived from residents~ou the uppsr~-cliff~rd. · requesting two new hydrants, to be. located between the Lewis property and ~Hinckley Lane. This matter was aporoved by the Board~subject .to approval· by the water company, and the necessary funds. Renewal applications for alcohoiic Vbe~e~age licenses were received from Frank T. Rebimbas and Harold and Felemena Ryder. and voted to take'the course prescribed by law. Hardys Ants Service was granted a 2nd~clkss used ca~r dealers license at N. Beach St. Nantucket Mass. It was Voted to write I,Ir. Chase ~ur member on the steamship authority, requ.estiug him to protest the proposed construction of a Ferry Slip at !~ew Bedford.
