Ma~inus Sch~le~ were p~esen~. ~ ~ - ~ ~ ~ The purpose of, the meeting was to hear a. co~!aint of Wa~den Winslow that M~. Schee!e ha~'taken over the allowable pe~-~ centage of seed in his catch, 'of ~he~ ~p~evi°us, day. Mr. Winslowjstated that he had visited M~. Scheele shanty,~, ~ a day p~evious and had noted a~!arge amount of what he stated were seed.,He said t~t the next morning he saw M~.'~Scheele and told him that he had too much seed; ~¢~. Schee!e stated that he did not think they were seed~-,but M~.~ Winslow said that he told him "dont b~ing in any more stuff like that you wi!l~be in t~ouble,'and that the same day. M~. Schee!e b~u~t in the catch in question. M~. Winslow stated that~. he had Selectmen B~gess and Pease examine the catch along with himself and deputy Warden Francis. Mr. Scheele'stabedthat he did not'thi~k~the~sca~l~ps.in question were~seeed and a discussion was held of Sec. VO of Ch. 130 of the Gen. Laws which'provides that unless the scallop has a well defined annual g~owth ma~k it is a seed. M~.' Scheele .be so notified. ~' A dis~ussion~of closing the area off 1Beachsiae Was held : and it was on motion made 'and seconded; Voted: 'that all of the a~ea to the West of a* line runni~ f~om Brant.'- point to the outboard end of the Western Jetty~ be closed, ~.
