Coffin being present. ~ ~, Warrant No. 40"t0talling ~.6,120.13 was presented by Town Acct. Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. Minutes of the previous meeting. were read and approved': Mr. Elliso~ Pea~$~ Secy of the Fi~hermens Ass0. px. esented a~ ~ request of the Asso. that the Commercial Lic. fee for ScalloPs be ~2.00 and that the size of dredges if power dredging is authorized be limited according to size as,set out. No action was taken on either of these matters as the license fee had 'already been set at ~5.00 anti'power dredging was not under~ discussion,' at t,his time. The asso. also requested that the limit be 4 bags per m~n ~er day. and the Board advised that this is what the present regulations call for. Mr. Wm. By. H. Snow Pres. of the Fishermens Asso..requested tha' the spar buoys as called for by Article 52 be out in place soon and it was voted to so request the Harbor Master. Warden Winslow w~s present and advised that he had ordered Seed Quahogs and that he was contemplating planting same off the end of Cambridge street in Madaket, and in Polpis Harbor~. Applications were receive'd from Carlos Grangrade,~ Morris V. Mullowney and John v.'Thomas for the position of Janitor of the _Town'Bldgs. this being a Vet.~ p;~eference job, it was on motion made and seconded voted to award same to ~. Grangrade on a. 30 day trial basis. ~-'. ,~ Distj Higheay Eng. L. R.' Sellew Wrote advising that the Gov. had no funds to pave the T6m Nevers Access Rd. 'to the Navy Base and requested advice of the Board if we~would be~prepared to maintain same until paved. As we have no particular funds for~ this project it was voted that we would'maintain the road as we had in the past as a dirt road. There being no further b~siness the~ Board~went into e'~ecuti~e ~session to discuss the following matters:relating to welfare. A letter was received fr0m'the'Tovm:~of Falmouth on the Basilo case'~advising that they had attempted to locate the husband and that a warrant was outstanding for his arrest,-It was con- sequently voted to approve payment of tills bill which had been previously held up.
