Blount advised t~t in his position as Wi~e Iuspecto~ Nr. William Namer was taking ove~ his duties fo~ this period. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~e~ Board received f~om the~Town Cou6sel a lea~e~ ~pro~ed by~ him~of~property in ~e Mioxes pond~area to the U.~S. Gov. for the purpose of laying ~nderg~oundc~bales in connection with a communications p~oject and signed same. Mr. ~Parke~ G~ay~was g~anted a ~en~ewal ~f his pis$$1~ permit. A letter was ~ecei~ed f~om EdiCtS. Nas0n m~king various suggestions as to su~e~ traffic.~, ~ ..... ~. Coffin reported ~hat Mrs'Cunningham in Sconset had ~ef~ed to agree to granting to the tovm a,20-ft'strip of,land at the foot of Brenton as previously suggested by her ~ counsel at a previous meeting. It was suggested by M~. Coffin that another piece of land up,on higher'land near the'foot bridge might,be~ of more value to the 'town and that ~s ~C~uingham ~d agreed to give 'this provided the ,town would move~ the~ fence.
