The '~eeti~g 'came to order at 8.45 PM having been preceeded by
a County Commissiorzers Meeting."All members being present.-
Y/arrant No. BV t0talling"$28,068.5~9 was presented by Town~Ac~t.
Barrett and checked and apprpved by the Board. -'
Minutes of the O~evious meeting were ~ead and approved.'
Shellfish W4rden Win~low was pr~'sent and Presented aerial maps
oi' Nantucket and RIadaket Harbors, for use in shellfish surveys.
The Board also discussed an a~ticle asking for funds to establis
the to~s boundaries on 2~uskeget Isl. and noted this'as s
for insertion in t~ a~ual warrant.-
A letter was received'f~om Co~ssi0ne~ Rsdolph~ Be~sette of' ,
the DPW asking is the Board ~ any objection to ~e granting
of a revocalbe license to lawrence Mille~ fo~ dredgiug'~ud :~ ,'
erection of various structures all to the South of tlze'existiug
long bulkhead, said license if granted not to prejudice any
~ights the town might have in. the a~ea..~
Town Counsel Sanguinetti had advised Secy. Glidden that he could
see no objection to this ~tter and on motion made and seconded
~t was vote~ to so advise the DPW. ~. Burgess being ~ecorded
as opposed.
To~ Counsel Sanguinetti ~fo~za~ded the By. Laws ~elating~to
Bid~cles sam~ having been approved ~ the Atty. Gen. and it'
was voted to advertise sa~ in the local papers three times.
The ~tte~ of t~ EarwigcPeSt was dis0ussed and it was voted'
to contact the Dept. of onservation insect pest control and
determine if the state 'could help ~in this ~tte~.
The matte~ ~of ~e~' sign~',designating Center a~d Orange streets
was discussed and ~efe~red to the,Supt, of streets.
It was voted't~o ~ve a'sign~erected at the ~etties Beach-stating
Beach Closed 9~ to 6 AM. ~ ' ~ ~'
