he desired to withdraw his bid on the road work so as not
to hold up the town work. , ~"

for ~e conplete unit., The complete bid of the Ar~er La' France
Co. complied with the specifications except for one:length
of'soft suction hose which cost around ~100.00. ~e matter of
the bids was discussed at some lengtt} withthe representatives~
of the various~co~panies and finally on motion r~ade and second ~d
it was voted to award the contract to the Amer La France~Co
-~or the bid of,~V500.00 for the co~?lete unit.
~e ~atter-of-amo~nts ~o be paid'call men ~or f~rset fare work
was discussed and Chief Bartlett agreed to draw up a schedule
to present to the Board. ~
