Town i~t Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and a'pproved. A~Mrs Bowden~0f Broadway Siascouset was p~esent and~disc~s'sed with the Board the location of some bottled gas,~ta~cs. The Board decided to ~ ~ ..... ~'~ ..... ~ an ~,~~on on Thurs at IOA~. l~ir. Winslov~ Shellfish warden was present and presented the Board charts~of the seed scallop survey of Madaket, T,~&~ernuck and Eautuc~e .... ~. ~r. W~nslow_ ~as authorized to visit the .Viueyarc and look at seed clams and also'purchase some if he thought warranted. ; It was voted, to advertise for the opening-of sesechacha Pond bids to be in by next meeting, the pond to be open&fl the week of the 23rd under the direction of the Warden. Fire Chief Bartlett W&s present and discussed ,~/ith the Board specificotious for the new fire truck, with him v~s Hubbard from American LaFrance.'It was voted after approval of specifications to advertise for bi~s on two items, to be in on' 25 May, that is Ghasis ~n one set of specifications and Body'and fire'fighting equipment ' on the other. Chief Howes and Supt of streets Jaeckle were .present and dis- cussed with the Board the .clean up week program. ~e Board voted to advertise a request to all to cooperate. ~ Ch~&f Howes suggested the following changes in the traffic regulations: I hour oarking arouug the town bldg. on Union Wash and Salem streets; Federal street i ho~ parking full length; Ash street parki~ on N.'side~ouly; No parking on ~, S. Water street from the opera house to Main street ,both-sides; and that the No parking on Lower Pear street near Carrie Niller be changed t o I hour parking. ~es~ matters were all' taken under_ advisement ~by the Board. ~ ~. ....
