~ne meeting '~
~ came to order at-,8PI~! having been pretended by a
Special Neeting as county connuissioners, all members 'of the
Board being ;present. ~
Warrant No./~ totalling ~ was presented by Town Acct.
Barrett and checked and approved,by the Board.'
~'iinutes of the previous meeting were read a~d approved.
Bids were received from Nant. Coust. Co. and Walter Glowacki
on Town .Road work for the year, The Board discussed at some
length before the bids were opened the-question of how the
lowest bidder would be determined as the specifications
for bids~on different phases of the work,on a' per ton b~fsis.'
After much discussion it was tenatively agreed without~a vote
to open the bids and take the total_amount of each bidder,'
excluding sealcoatiug, and the lowest total would be awarded
the contract.'It was also felt that a~'time' limit should be
set on the work and it was voted that the time limit be 15
June on patching and I Nov: on all 'other work: The bids were
opened and the amounts were as follows:

.¥w. Coffin c'alled the presses'attention to,the fa~t that he
had been mis-quoted in the Inq. & ~irror with reference ~3
to,'the meeting last week withthe Fire Chief and stated for the
record that he was opposed to,any work being done on the
present Sconset truck for f~e benefit of Sconset.
it was voted to place the care 'of the grounds at the Vet.
memorial under the supervision of the Supt. of streets, marne
to be paid out of the Town Bldg. fund up to ~200.00.

Donald Allen havic_g been advertised and a hearing held and
their being no p~otests it was~voted that said license be "'
approve~. ~
Co~missioner~Volpe advised that the state wbuld ~ontinue the
