The m&eting came to order at 7.30 P~'! all members of the Board

Barrett and checked and approved by the Board.
~inutes of the previous meeting were read and approved~-
IvIr. Wil'i~am Na~r of the .Transportatioh committee was pre~ent'
and conferred with the Board relative to a.meeting on the Vin-
eyard' to discuss various bills on the steamship situation. He
also presented a letter which the Vineyard group had comoosed
a~d which is to be sent to all members of the current le~islatu~
and~on motion made_and seconded it was~voted that same be
given ~this ·Boards approvalS. ~ '~. ' ~ ~_ ' , .
Mr. John Walsh"was present and Stated that he' had c0m~lt~d-the
fence at his Junk Yard in accordance with the conditions set
by the Board. On motion made and seconded it was voted that
Mr:~Walsh's Junk Dealers license be appr6ved~. ,.~ .~'
Mr. Gardner Hussell, Atty-was p~esent and discussed with the
Board beachside construction in the cliff area by,two'clients
of his. to prevent erosion..The Board advised~t.hat this .matter
had been discussed'at a previous~meeting and the Board had no
objections to the construction as proposed.~ ,
Nr~"E~nest'~ Coffin' was present'and presented v~rious S~'onset
articles for. insertion in the annual Warrant. '

to a planning board for insertion in the warrant and'offered
to answer any questions the board might have on this subject~ ~

Mac&s Pharmacy was ·granted a~renewal of their common Vi~t ~nd

Hatched Lindley was g~anted a renewal of his Innholders' license.
Island Chev.~,was~granted a renewal of its class E used car deald
license. ~ ~ ~

was on motion made and seconded voted that the following
appointed to serve through Nov. 1957; .irving A. Soverino; W.
Mar!and Rounsville; and Kenneth N. Pease. -' ~
The Boa~d-discuss~d the ~roblem of/sick ie~ve for permanent
town employees and voted that permanent town employees shall
be entitled to l0 days sick leave per year, but not more than
30 days in all. "
