The meeting came to 'order at 7.30 PM all members of the B0~ard
except ~1r. Pease being present. .,
Warrant No.. 50 tot~.]ling $66,284.48 was presented by Town Acct.'
Barrett and checked and aporoved by. the Board.
Minutes of the orevious meeting were read'and approved.
I~r. Leland Topham was present and requegted, a peddlers license
from the Board, as this is a~state license it was voted to
have t-~ae Secy. forward Mr. T'opham the necessary application
The Board requested the local papers to submit bids at the
next meeting on the printing of the town report, bids to be ~
on a per page ~asis,-same stock etc. as last year and on 600
copies.
A letter was received from Mrs Frank Parlow on~ upper vestal st.
requesting a street light, the Board took this matter under
advisement for future action.
The Wannacome~t water co. was granted'permits to open Easton
street opposite the Sanford property.
Town clerk Coffin submitted the political calander which was
checked and approved by the Board for advertising.
Town Counsel Sanguinetti sub~iitted a by-law for submission to
the' t0wn~meeting in re the wearing of bathi~ng suits and'other
abbrevated attire on the streets of the town, which the Board
had requested him to draw up.
The matter of allowing the town n~rse to draw an extra weeks ~
pay 'in lieu of a vacation was discussed and approved by the
Board, inasmuch as if she took the'vacation due her the town
would have to pay a substitute. .
It was voted to meet- with various depts, under the Boards~ ~ :~
jurisdiction on Non. Tues and Wed, evenings next week to discuss
budgets for the coming year. -~~ '~
form communication from the ABC was received advising of the
hours of .sale of alco'~olic beverages on Christmas and New Years
and voted forwarded to the Police Dept. ~ ~
