Barrett and checked and approved by the Board. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. A letter from the marine biologist at WoodsHole to Shellfish Warden Winslow relative to the results of Plankton tests was read and filed. Mr. John Walsh accompanied'by Atty. G. M, Poland was present and stated that he Mr, Walsh would undertake to fence his present Junk yar~ with a six foot fenc~ on the S. Prospect and W. York Lane sides by 1 Nov. ~4. It was voted that on this condition the Junk d~alers license of Mr. Walsh be ex- tended to that datel Nov. 54. It was voted to have a sign erected at the Brandt~ Point ~ight of way stating beach closed trom 9PM to 6 AM. N~. Henhy B. Coleman and Mm. R. s. Glidden Were granted renewal~ of their auctioneers licenses. A letter was ~eceived~fr0m Mrs Mearle T. Blackshaw relative to the type and attitude of, ou~ present crop of visitors. It was voted to Write the Chief of Police relative t0 Unlawful~ assemblies and,informhimwe wanted these crowds broken up and kept broken,up. And authorized extra men if necessary. It v~s voted to have Notices published stating that it is un- lawful to wear bathing suits on the streets of the town and' to post same iu the hotels, rooming houses and othe~ publ~c~ places. A communicatio~ was received from the i~s'u~ance co. whlch~covers the Jetties Beach advising that the doors at the ends of the corridors ,should be kept unlocked. It was voted to write Mr. Currie'the.~ Lessee to this effect. ~.. .... It was voted to have the Town counsel look 'into and ~advise~ us on the Town Park land at the Childrens Beach Area, as~to its ownership a nd~ area. .~ . , ~t was voted that the Keeper of the Island Home shall not h01d any other position without the express prior approval of the Board. ~:' Supt. of streets~Jaeckle submitted a list o£ 'Streets' Which he_, feels should be resurfaced this ~all under the maintenance' program and same was placed on file. ~-.. The D.P.W. advised t hat the annual county hearing will be held in Nantucket on Fri. Aug. ~2Vth at 10PM. The Civic League was granted a pe~mit t~ sell'tickets on main 'street for a Garden Tour on August 10th and llth There b~ng no further business'the meeting adjourned at 9.~0 PM to discuss two welfare matters. james K.
